Sort of painful

While these do offer good arch support, and I do wear an 11.5, and these say they are 11.5, perhaps they are too small? They sort of dig in a bit between the ball area.

no padding

Very stiff. These insoles do not work for me.

Very happy

At first I wasn’t sure about these, but I love my Birkenstocks for plantar fasciitis. They felt weird in the arch area, but I tried them out over the course of a week and they are great. I put them in my New Balance for gym and walking.

Great insoles

I wear Birks, so these are perfect and take care of a number of feet issues for me. This is my 2nd pair.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Does this insole provide padding for those who have lost their fat pad under the metatarsals. If not, which insole do you recommend

This insole has a really good metatarsal pad but it does not offer any cushioning.  If you are looking for padding or cushioning underneatht the metatarsals we recommend the 10 Seconds Pressure Relief with Met Pad.

  • My soles wear out on the right heel of the right shoe and the left heel of the left shoe. Will these insoles correct that too?

That is normal wear for shoes. These insoles will support your arches and may help to straighten your gait a bit. However, you will still see some wear on your shoes after awhile.

  • How long before I need to replace

We generally recommending replacing your insoles when you replace your shoes.  The Birkenstock Blue Footbed Traditional insole usually lasts between 1-2 years depending on how often you wear it.

  • Can they accommodate a sandal shoe? Can they accommodate a sling back modest height high heel?

These are not recommended for a sandal shoe or sling back because it will slip out of the back of the shoe when walking.  It works best in a shoe that has a heel counter (back) on it.

  • what is the easiest way to tell which shoe each insole goes into?

On the bottom of this Birkenstock insole there is a stability plate that has a circle on it.  The circle should be beneath the arch when in the shoe.
