I have Orthofeet shoes mens size 12 extra wide (4E). Will this insole work in the shoe?
Yes, these should work well in a wide Orthofeet shoe. You will want to make sure to remove the existing insole and replace it with the new one. If they need to be trimmed at all you can find a guide here: How to Trim Your Insoles. I have been in industry for over 40 years and your feet tend to suffer over long hours of work. I bought my first set of Form Memory Foam insoles about 2 years ago after trying several others. I will never buy another. My feet thank you, as does my back, hips, and both knees. Great product.
Amazing comfort. I work in a hospital and am on my feet a fair amount of my shift. Needed these to help replace the thin stock insoles that shoes come with. Will definitely purchase again if I get additional shoes.
It may be too soon for this review but I was looking for something to replace inserts in aging carbon plated running shoes (350+ miles) and thought I'd try these. Upon inspection they appeared way too thick and heavy for running. Another worry came to mind also as I've been running in the same brand of shoes with the same inserts for 3+ years and the change may cause an injury to my 63 year old legs. I put them in the shoes (the fit was perfect) and loosened the laces across the top to make up for extra height within the shoe. I was afraid that raising my heel in the heel cup could be an issue. Ran 6 miles and loved every minute of it. No problems. Didn't slow me down one bit. If anything the thickness of the heel forced me to land more forward on my toes which is what I want. What a difference. The shock absorption and extra spring in my step more than made up for the extra weight in the shoes. Woke up the next morning with more refreshed legs than ever before. If anything changes within the next couple of weeks good or bad I'll update the review. I have 12 different pairs of shoes and plan to move these around to each one as I train in a different pair every run.
Have had these for 4 years, bought them while I was in the military, put countless miles on them and still use the same pair in ever shoe/boot I wear!
I got this recommendation from a Sperry shoe rep when I told her the insoles I had for the Chelsea rainboots got destroyed in the dryer. They were a little too thick for the boots but I made it work. I hope they can redesign and make thinner but overall sanding all day working at a zoo and back pain has gone down.
They are too thick! Do not fit the shoe.
